Marc Marquez’s absence is expected to blow the Malaysian Grand Prix wide open, with Gresini Ducati’s Alex Marquez and factory Aprilia rider Marco Bezzecchi among those being considered favourite for the win.
Last year’s Sepang race was won by Francesco Bagnaia on the factory Ducati, with then-Pramac rider Jorge Martin finishing second and Enea Bastianini grabbing third in a podium lockout for Borgo Panigale.
